How Erasmus handles your data
No cookie banner, because there's nothing to consent to
Erasmus sets one cookie, and only when you log in: it keeps you logged in. There are no advertising cookies, no third-party trackers and no analytics scripts from other companies.
What we count
We keep a count of which pages and tools are used, and what people do in the tools: which scales they look at, how a Simon game went, which challenge they played, which product they clicked. For visitors who aren't logged in this is recorded with no identifier at all: no cookie, no IP address, no browser details. It's a tally, not a trail.
What we do with it for members
When you're logged in, your own activity is recorded against your account, together with what you told us when you joined (how long you've played, what you play, what you're here for). We use it for one thing: to pick the product of the week, the challenges and the teachers you see first. It's never shared or sold, and teachers can't see it.
You can turn this off on your account privacy page. From then on your activity is counted anonymously, like a visitor's, and what we had recorded against your account is unlinked from it.
What we don't do
- No IP addresses are stored.
- No browser fingerprinting.
- No data goes to advertisers or data brokers.
- Links to YouTube, Instagram, Patreon and teachers' websites open those sites, which have their own policies. YouTube videos on teacher pages play through YouTube's privacy-enhanced player, which sets no cookies until you press play.
